UBRS Friday

The votes are in, and the winner of this week’s Friday Night Fight is Upper Blackrock Spire. Signups are now available.

Votes have been reset, so be sure to vote for next week’s FNF. You’ll notice that the list has changed somewhat, with ZG being removed (although, it was fun, we’re just not quite ready for it as a guild), and DM and Strat have been broken up into two different entries each, per request based on objectives.

[Edit] Well, the General didn’t drop after two attempts, and his conflagurate certainly caught at least the tank offguard. Gorysh, Jalo, Maanae, Paed, Skykomish, Necromage, Bigjj, Bomosnipah, and Unezrest did see some nice drops most of which were actually needed!

  • [Book: Gift of the Wild II] went to Skykomish.
  • [Dreadmist Bracers] went to Jalo.
  • [Wildfire Cape] was needed by Gorysh, with Skykomish, Jalo, and Maanae getting shafted.
  • [Dal'Rend's Sacred Charge] was needed by Gorysh, with Jalo getting shafted.
  • [Battleborn Armbraces] were disenchanted for Skykomish.
  • [Dragoneye Coif of Frost Resistance] was needed by Jalo, with Bigjj getting shafted.
  • [Tristam Legguards] were needed by Maanae, with Bigjj getting shafted.
  • [Ironweave Boots] were needed by Paed.

Mid Night: Scarlet Monastary

As if there were any question… This Wednesday will be Scarlet Monastary for the young’uns. Votes have been reset for next week’s Mid Night.

There are a couple of signups for SM in the Schedule — an early and later run — so sign up for the one that suits you best, or both. =]

Plucky says…

down_the_hole.jpgOut of the mouths of babes you shall find the truth, (obviously said by someone without any children), and the truth is:

“Scarlet Monastery go down the hole….”

An impromptu SM run included Codeine, Supots, Joco, Aed and a pug priest named Malacrus. Malacrus made numerous comments on how impressed he was with our guild and how surprised he was that we would help each other (it is the little things that make this all work). He was a good player that worked well with us and turned out to be honest to, not a bad combo. I encouraged him to give us a yell if he was ever in the market for a new guild.

There were a few occasions when we got to see how us 4 little guys would do on our own while Aed handled parenting duties. I was very happy with the results, we performed well, very encouraging for the future.

I wanted to add to my armor and upgrade my weapons, and this is the place. So, the first run into the Armory resulted in Harod dropping his shoulders, I already have them, /roll for shard. The second run netted us another pair of Harod’s Shoulders, /roll for shard. The final run was the Cathedral, where we were treated to the Gloves of Divinity, I have them, /roll for shard, and Whitemane’s Chapeau, which no one needed, /roll for shard. That was all for the night.

I did get 60% of my next level and am looking forward to going back, lots….

Long live Plucky

Time to 60

With the recent talk about when the expansion comes, whether we as a guild concentrate on getting our level 60’s up to 70, getting our brand spanking new Blood Elves up to 60-70, or split the time between them in some undetermined way, I decided to dtermine exactly how long it took me to get each character up to the coveted lvl 60.

To figure out this for yourself, log in to your level 60 character(s) and type /played. It will display the total time played and the time played at the current level. Just subtract the two and you can see how long it took for you to get to 60.

What I found was this:

  • Mandroken: 20 days 7 hours 57 minutes
  • Ganeda: 13 days 9 hours 57 minutes
  • Necromage: 12 days 0 hours 28 minutes

While Hooves is not yet 60, he has taken 5 days 13 hours 47 minutes to get to level 49.18. I hope that at this rate he will be 60 in under 10 days.

Share with us how quickly you got your character to 60!

New Characters with Expansion

I am undecided on what Blood Elf character I would like to create with the expansion. I am leaning towards warrior or paladin, but I would like to choose one that would lend to a balance in the guild ~ it would be great to coordinate this in an effort of having a variety of characters around the same level to be able to form groups.

I am wondering what (if any) new characters everyone else is planning on creating… Please post a comment below with what class of character you are planning on creating.
