FNF: Steamvault (and Heroic?)
Friday, April 6th, 2007… it is time once again to venture into Coilfang Reservior and conqueor The Steamvault. Warlord Kalithresh won’t know what hit him.
Although, this time, things might be slightly different. For those who are ready for it, we might actually be able to attempt the Heroic version as well. So, if you’re revered with Cenarion Expedition, be sure to grab the key and when you sign up, note that you’re ready and willing. If you dare!

Finally, several people have voiced interest in starting the Friday Night Fights even earlier than the current 8:30-9pm PST start time. If earlier times appeal to you, or don’t interest you, let us know.

This weekend is Norwescon, so I will not be joining as normal.
However, just to let you know I do have the key to unlock Heroic mode from Cenarion Expedition and willing to try some of the *other* Coilfang instances on it. I don’t think we are quite ready for Steamvault on Heroic.
Starting time doesn’t matter to me now, but it might in the future.

From rumors I’ve heard, Steamvault is one of the easiest Heroics available since the bosses are virtually the same, but the trash is more difficult.
I’ve heard Slave Pens is an absolute nightmare on Heroic (remember pulls of 6 makura? now imagine them immune to CC and level 70 and out for blood). I’ve also heard that Underbog isn’t too user-friendly, most specifically the boss-like trash (again), and the bosses new tricks.
As a rule, the level 70 instances make for miniscule upgrades in difficulty since the trash is already level 70ish and the bosses are already 73, so they just kick the damage up a notch, which means more mitigation, more healing, and more watching out for agg-stealing…
All in all, sounds like a good time — and time to score more reputation.
